Поводом для микса “ Gabriel & Dresden - The Legends”, как название, так и в содержании стали многочисленные подборки творений двух музыканто от совершенно независимых и что таить непрофессиональных любителей progressive house & trance музыки. Компиляции можно легко найти на страницах любительских блогов в тематике электронной музыки. Мы с гордостью представляем эти два миксованных диска: Первый микс вобрал в себя лирические композиции с трансовыми оттенками, наполненные вокальными партиями от самых известных певиц в клубном мире, поэтому и носит посвящение Renaissance Female Vocal Series (несколько лет назад выходили в свет компиляции под логотипом Ravecity с треками, которые часто встречались в миксах мировых ди-джеев на лейбле Renaissance) . Второй диск подобран и смиксован музыкантом и ди-джеем, а так же вдохновителем проекта WATO, Сергеем Geyser. Так получилось, что ему удалось собрать отличные от первого диска версии, более модного электро звучания progressive house. В итоге, релиз получился полной ретроспективой творчества Gabriel & Dresden под разными углами зрения, что несомненно способно удовлетворить самых притязательных слушателей.

Среди их заслуг – ремиксы на New Order, Annie Lennox, Rachael Starr и Dido, а хит Motorcycle долгое время продержался на верхушке Billboard Dance Chart. Кроме этого, дуэт управляет лейблом Organised Nature, основанным в 2005 году.
Gabriel & Dresden познакомились на Winter Music Conference в 2003, где Josh Gabriel представлял промо своего первого трека Wave 3, а Dave Dresden искал новую музыку для радиопрограммы Pete Tong. Dresden понравилась композиция нового товарища, и две недели спустя ее запустили по BBC Radio 1 на шоу Pete Tong.
Вскоре Tong предложил Dresden возможность смикшировать трек New Order – Someone Like You, Gabriel также принял участие в работе. Три года спустя дуэт уже записал 33 ремикса, 2 оригинальных трека, а также всемирно известный хит Motorcycle с вокалом Jes. Dresden также продюсирует под лейблом Attention Deficit, а Gabriel записывает и продюсирует собственные треки и издал два известных сингла как продюсер и участник группы Andain.
2004 год для Gabriel & Dresden начался с 1-го места в восьмёрке Billboard Club Play Chart Remixes, а их хит As the Rush Comes, который они выпустили в рамках своего side проекта Motorcycle совместно с вокалисткой Jes, поднялся на 11 место в UK Pop Chart. Кроме того, Gabriel & Dresden завоевали награды Dance Star Award аж в трёх номинациях: лучший продюсер, лучший сингл и лучший успешный диджей. Весной 2004 дуэт выпустил свой дебютный микс-сборник на лейбле Nettwerk Records.
После ремикса на The Wings из «Горбатой горы» парни получили сразу четыре номинации на International Dance Music Awards на прошедшей в 2006 году зимней конференции в Майами – Best Producer, Best American DJ, Best Remixer и Best Progressive House/Trance Track. Летом 2006 они отправились в тур по Северной Америке и Европе в поддержку своего первого LP альбома.
«Люди считают, что танцевальная музыка не глубокомысленна, – прокомментировал выход альбома Josh Gabriel. – Но мы создаем музыку со словами и припевами, наполненную эмоциями и смыслом. Мы считаем себя группой, которая использует танцевальную музыку для самовыражения. Мы оба выросли на творчестве Depeche Mode и The Cure, и наша музыка наследует их гармонию».
В 2007 году на Зимней Конференции в Майами дуэт Gabriel & Dresden был назван «Лучшими американскими диджеями года».
На данный момент Джош и Дейв вместе не работают. В конеце 2007 года у них стали возникать противроечия в музыкальном плане, а 30 Марта 2008 они отыграли последнее совместное выступление на Beatport Pool Party.
