I have taught English as a Second Language both abroad and in the United States, in Boston. I did not study ESL or even English in college... I studied Applied Math and Computer Science. Then I studied music, through the graduate level. Specifically, voice, where I spent a lot of time thinking about mouth and tongue position, and where I studied the pronunciation of a language even before I studied the language itself
