Кагетора - лидер клана Суиген, который давно пришел в упадок. Однако он и группа из нескольких других членов клана намерены возродить былое величие клана. Но в том беда, сам он как ниндзя оставляет желать лучшего, зато имеет редкий талант "переманивать" женский состав других кланов на свою сторону. Ну без особой радости он принимает эту роль, хотя это вовсе не означает что он собирается менять свой "обычный" образ жизни.

Что же мы имеем в плане геймплея. Карта разделена на провинции, которыми правят лорды, в то время как лордами покровительствуют кланы ниндзя. После сотого хода еще появится некий аналог европейцев, которым соответственно кланы не покровительствуют, но которые будут стремится завоевать все территории. У игрока есть небольшая группа нинздя, которая со временем будет расширятся. Использую их можно будет выполнять различные миссии от простейших охраны территории и возделывания полей до работы на военные фракции, убийства и тд. У вас во владении будет небольшой участок территории с замком, который можно будет отстраивать и нужно будет защищать от недружелюбных соседей и разбойников. Будет также возможность тренировать уже имеющихся ниндзя, каждый из которых по ходу выполнения миссий будет прокачиваться и развивать рекрутов перед введением их в штат. Фактически сама игра будет основываться на двух принципах - насколько многими фракциями островов вы манипулируете и насколько много территорий эти фракции имеют и как я понял финальной целью будет остатся последним кланом ниндзя на карте, хотя могу и ошибаться.VNDB

-This game consist of a map where you are the leader of a ninja clan (there are more clans and not necessary ninja).
-Each clan seek out to serve a ruler (or rulers) which the clan who has most influence to the ruler of that specific providence will have the name of the clan on top of it in the map.
-As you can see, most providences has different colors meaning different rulers or Daimio.
-In top left of the map, there are 2 buttons. The first one is about your village.
-Your village is a hidden village and does not hold a specific place on the map. (after all it is hidden)
-But if you are the top clan of a providence then when some event related your clan happens, that providence will flash but has nothing to do with the village.
-So the first top left button is to show the village and buildings you have in there. The second button will switch to map mode instead where you will see all the providences instead.
-More to the right are the map options where you can enable/disable map settings like showing who is the top clan, routes, etc.
-Routes is for when you are serving a specific ruler, how will the ruler expand or the color of the map. So, if the enemy ruler is expanding so will the color of the enemy's providence.
-The buttons on the buttom left are the gameplay commands. The first one is mission where you can choose what to do each round.
Each ninja can only take one mission (no such thing as 2 or more ninja per mission).
-You can sort the missions by name, type, turns remaining, etc.
-Each mission has an icon which indicates the type of mission:
NOTE: the order i explain the mission items is when sorted by mission type meaning the icons.
+Wood House: Guarding your village. There are various types of guarding. The first one is guarding close to the main house. The second one is long range where the assigned person can go around go away the main house to attack enemies. Other type of defending will come from construction. You can construct a vigilation post wherever you want in the village and assign a person to guard near that post so that you can guard buildings far from the main house. NOTE: As default there are some ninjas guarding the main house but those are wimpy so it is good to have your stronger ninja help to guard.
+Ink Pen: Information gathering. As you gather information you will have more available missions and more missions to gather other kind of information. As default you will have 3 available where the first one is to research about clans and other missions. The second one is to research about the inside meaning the providence which you are top clan. The third one is about the providence where you are currently the top clan. This third option might disappear as you stop using it.
+Bag : Mostly recruiting but also sometimes are event related.
+Ninja star : related to fighting and events.
+Food and whine : earning money. If you construct shops, factories or farms are also with this icon. Self constructed shops are 100% free from injury or deaths compared to the event driven ones.
+Leaf fan : War support. There are three but sometimes only one of two of them shows but if all of the present, the first and second one support a specific ruler and the third one creates weakness to the specific ruler. This will affect your relationship with each ruler of each specific providence.
+Paper fan : Work as general job for a ruler where it is 100% save from injury or death. You get money at the end of the turns too.
+Sword : you assign a ninja to exterminate thieves or bandits but they are not storyline related.
+2 Hands : Relation. There are also three of them and one can show without the other ones. If all 3 presents, the first one is building good relationship. The second one is to cause uproar and the third one is to calm uproars. Meaning the first and third helps improving your relation with specific rulers.
+Looks like a whistle with some rope or maybe a trap if you look at the rope only : There are two. Depriving the enemy's money is the first one. You expend some and if successful you get some back. Depriving the enemy's information (dunno how it helps). If your ninja is not a high level one, think about it twice specially depriving for information.
NOTE2: You might also have noticed that at the beginning there is a red square at the left of some missions. There are also blue squares. They mean that either they are event related (or important) or permanent (will never go away and mostly red investigation ones).
-Back to the map, the second bottom button is training. In recruit missions you can get eggs and train them. So that when it hatches you have a little more powerful ninja. I never had to bother training any ninja since i was lazy.
-Third button is about construction. You can construct buildings like hot springs to heal a little faster from injuries (also prevents). Traps against invaders (who come to destroy buildings or steal money).
-Fourth button is the information you gathered during your investigations and some go away after some time.
-In the storyline, you win by either serving the default ruler to get all the providences or by defeating your rival clan. If you defeat your rival clan, you don't have to get all states.
-Your default ruler looks like cat people. So after helping them to get the first providence you can start looking for neighbor providences where has connected route and start inverstgating them.
-After investigating them, you can start by first making relation with the rival lord (by 2 hands missions of first and third), then you become the top clan and start making their warhead useless (third leaf fan option). Or depriving their money and information (but not very effective and will make you loose your top clan position of that providence). So, your default ruler by itself will try to take over weak neighbors.
-In other words, you are no ruler but something who works behind the scene and before they know it they are doomed.

Edit: Most of the missions can be event related and if so, what is different from the standard missions is the amount of turns or money needed to start the mission. For example, there are standard region search which is 2 rounds and 100 gold. The standard province search which is 1 round 100 gold. And then there is the event search of 1 round 2000 gold.
