Нелегко быть дочерью одинокого профессора археологии – это на себе испытала 10-летняя Сакура Киномото, обнаружив в отцовском кабинете таинственную Книгу Карт, созданную величайшим магом Клоу Ридом. По неопытности Сакуры 52 волшебных карты вырвались и разлетелись по свету – ищи, как хочешь. Хорошо хоть вместе с книгой остался ее хранитель – симпатяга Кэро-тян, позорно проспавший, кстати, свои обязанности. Уяснив обстановку, Кэро быстро объяснил Сакуре, что она теперь – Собирательница карт, а иначе, как водится, жди больших неприятностей.
Вот так все и началось. Пришлось Сакуре при помощи верного Кэро и очень креативной подруги Томоё «впрягаться в работу», постепенно открывая для себя тайны жизни и волшебства. А за три сезона тайн, приключений, новых встреч и интересных событий встретится очень много!
